Help finding a book...

Part of the Bingo Challange is to read a book by an Australian author. I have a couple of authors who fit that role but I find that I've read all their books.

Can anyone suggest a good Australian author? I will read pretty much any genre, but i prefer the science fiction, fantasy, or romance type settings.

I could just google for a title, but it's nice getting suggestions.

I admit, I had to look some up, I rarely pay attention to where an author is from. Some that I saw that I recognized were Colleen McCullough (The Thorn Birds and others), Geraldine Brooks (People of the Book), Markus Zusak (The Book Thief and Garth Nix. I must admit I haven't read any of them though. This one looks interesting though, The Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3407877-the-forgotten-garden

Colleen McCulloug, Markus Zusak, and Garth Nix are all on my I've read these authors list. I guess I could have reread Nix's Abhorson series but since we listened to it not that long ago I wanted to try something new.

The Forgotten Garden looks good I'll have to see if the library has a copy available.

Shauney you might enjoy Sabriel, Lireal, and Abhorsen by Garth Nix. There is a prequel story but it helps to understand the story universe to have read the three I listed before reading Clariel

Oh, and the author of the Phryne Fisher series Kerry Greenwood is also Australian. I've been wanting to read these before watching the show, so I think that's my author picked :)
